Last Chance To Get Your 2014 ALA Galley & Signing Guide

The 2014 ALA Galley & Signing Guide is in production and should be reaching your inbox in the next 24 hours. It’s one of the biggest yet, with some 350 titles—certainly, more ALA2014galleyheader Last Chance To Get Your 2014 ALA Galley & Signing Guidetitles than were available for distribution  at last month’s BookExpo America. Even with all my work on Prepub Alert, I discovered new titles while preparing the galley guide, from Natalia Sanmartin Fenollera’s The Awakening of Miss Prim, an international best seller coming in July about what educated young Prudencia Prim learns working as a librarian in an isolated French village, to M.O. Walsh’s My Sunshine Away, about an upended Louisiana childhood, tentatively scheduled for January, to Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child’s The Lost Island, a Gideon Crew novel we’ll be seeing later this summer. Even if you aren’t going to ALA, the galley guide should be useful reading. Here’s your last chance if you haven’t registered already for your 2014 ALA Galley & Signing Guide.
