Put a Little Romance in Your Life | LJ’s Best Romance 2013

onegoodearl1 Put a Little Romance in Your Life | LJs Best Romance 2013Here’s hoping that you all saw LJ‘s most recent LJ Reviews newsletter, listing all our Best Genre Fiction picks for 2013, from mystery to historical fiction and more. Alas, Best Books 2013: Romance managed to escape from the fold, but I’ve just given you the link. I’m no pro at romance, in books or in life, but our longtime columnist Kristin Ramsdell knows how to pick them. Among the picks is Sarah MacLean’s One Good Earl Deserves a Lover, second in the “Rule of Scoundrels” series; the third book in the series, No Good Duke Goes Unpunished, is the LibraryReads top pick for December. I interviewed MacLean recently (look for our talk in LJ 12/13 and Prepub Alert 12/16) and appreciated this observation: ““Why is romance so popular with women? It gives us permission to make serious demands in our relationships.” Give yourself the permission to grab these books.
