AudioGO is inviting librarians to visit its Rhode Island offices for Librarian’s Day on Friday, September 28. AudioGO told LJ that events include a Q&A with authors James R. Benn
(Death’s Door) and Janet Taylor Lisle (The Lost Flower Children), a tour of the building and recording studios where librarians can try their hand at narrating (and listen to pros do it), goody bags stuffed with audiobooks, and a special discounted showroom. “As an extra-special treat for everyone, we’ll also have an ice cream truck outside after lunch,” the publisher said. Breakfast and lunch also are included. As a bonus, Senator and library advocate Jack Reed will be making a special appearance at 10am!
Librarians can RSVP at this link by September 14. Fill out the form and you automatically will be entered to win $500 worth of free audiobooks, whether you can attend or not! For those needing to stay in the North Kingstown area, AudioGO has secured a special rate at the Warwick Crowne Plaza ($92+tax including a continental breakfast.
