As folks I’ve spoken to generally agree, there wasn’t just one big book at BookExpo America, and there hasn’t been for awhile. All the better, since different readers want different things, and
I would rather think in terms of a whole lot of big books. I can’t begin to name all my finds, but check out these 22 titles, shared by editors at the Editors’ Picks panel at Library Journal‘s Day of Dialog. The panelists at the fouth annual Librarian Shout ‘n Share also had juicy stuff to offer, nearly 100 titles from fiction to cookbooks. And don’t forget that LJ‘s book review editors will be summing up favorites in our own editors’ picks write-up in the July issue. How soon to ALA?
