Literary God and Library Champion Ray Bradbury Dead at 91

While the wonder of books are being hailed by thousands at BookExpo America, a shadow has fallen on the book world and American literature. Word just came that Ray Bradbury has passed at age 91. Not only was Ray one of nation’s most brilliant writers, he was also a grand champion of libraries, even writing his best-known work, Fahrenheit 451, on a rented typewriter in the basement of his local library.

I’ll write more on this later in my Geeky Friday installation, but for now a moment of silence.
