So I was noodling online today while on the reference desk in Widener, and came across ProQuest’s Database of the Month: the ProQuest Natural Science Collection. It’s a full-text file that brings together in one “place” all these ProQuest titles along with the ProQuest Illustrata‚Ñ¢: Natural Sciences indexing resource: ProQuest Agricultural Science Collection, ProQuest Aquatic Science Collection, ProQuest Atmospheric Science Collection, ProQuest Biological Science Collection, ProQuest Earth Science Collection, and the ProQuest Environmental Science Collection. Subjects covered in the file are: Agriculture, Biology, Conservation, Earth sciences, Education, Environmental studies, Fish and fisheries, Food and food industries, Forests and forestry, Geography, Medical sciences, Meteorology, Pharmacy and pharmacology, Public health and safety, Veterinary science, and Water resources (there’s something here for nearly everyone).
ProQuest lets you try their Database of the Month free if you sign up at their Discover More Corps page (and it’s an individual sign in, not an institutional one — for which, thanks, ProQuest!). I had a productive and informative time looking through it, and I think you will, too, till the end of March.
More as it happens,
Cheryl
