Rosen Publishing’s new PowerKids Earth & Space Science database is “a content-driven, visually stimulating, and media-rich online science resource specifically designed for learners in grades 3 to 6,” (from the Rosen site), while Gareth Stevens Publishing’s Transitions to Literacy program is “a state-of-the-art literacy-skills development program for emergent readers in grades pre-K, K, and 1… combin[ing] traditional hard-bound print materials and the latest interactive digital technology, along with the very effective comprehension assessment tool‚ the Accelerated Reader¬Æ.” I’m already on record as loving Rosen products, and the Gareth Stevens product looks like a winner, too, so you’ll probably want to take a look at both of these if your library serves any early readers. And Rosen Publishing has graciously given e-Views readers free access to both.Cheryl
