How to make the holidays even more hectic: take four weeks’ worth of important titles appearing in June, not the lightest publishing month, and compact them into three weeks’ worth of newsletters. Next week, Monday, December 26, is a
holiday for the office‚ and I hope for you, too‚ so no newsletter will go out. The same is true for January 2, 2012, which will make January another crowded month for me and you. Meanwhile, this newsletter includes not just the usual picks and previews but an experiment I’ve been wanting to try for some time regarding poetry titles and how to promote them, plus my second annual preview of what the authors of LJ‘s Top Ten Best Books are doing next. Thanks for joining me for Prepub Alert this year.
Happy New Year

Barbara: Just wishing you Happy Holidays….and take some time out to be with family and friends. You do a phenomenal job with reviews, newsletters, top picks. And the list goes on and on. So thank you for doing this. I enjoy reading it all. Here’s to more glorious books in the New Year.
Oh thank you! I am planning to star my holiday…sometime late tonight!
“You May Also Like” recommends 2 database free trials that expired in 2009. That’s a little frustrating! I do love Pre-Pub Alert though!
I’ll pass on the information about those expired database trials (not my area) and am glad you enjoy reading Prepub
Hey there — saw this comment, and yes, I’m working on removing some of those more egregiously expired free trials from the indexing that feeds into the related posts. May take a couple of hours to show up, but I’ll keep my eye on this. Thanks!
