Karin Slaughter, the best-selling author of Fallen and a tireless supporter of libraries, has written a digital short story for Amazon’s Thomas & Mercer mystery imprint that will be available as a Kindle Single on Aug. 25, 2011. One hundred percent of Slaughter’s proceeds from the sales of “Thorn in My Side” in the United States will go to her SavetheLibraries campaign, while proceeds from sales in the United Kingdom will go to benefit The Reading Agency.
