PLA 2010: Virtual RA Sessions

As one of the LJ editors holding down the fort in New York during PLA this year, I’m excited to "attend" two Virtual Conference sessions on Readers’ Advisory. Cross-Over Advisory: Adult Books for Teens and Teen Books for Adults features LJ reviewer Jessica Moyer, Kansas City Lib.’s Kaite Mediatore Stover, and authors Diana Herald, Kim Harrison, and Brandon Sanderson. In Books: The Top 5 of the Top 5, Rebecca Vnuk (of Shelf Renewal), Stover, Barry Trott, LJ reviewer Neil Hollands, and David Wright offer "go-to" lists of hot books in hot genres.

I’m curious to compare notes with the editors who make it to these two sessions in person. See Raya Kuzyk’s take on what attending a virtual conference session during ALA Annual was like. I’ll also be following the Reader’s Advisor Online blog—they’re currently soliciting librarians to cover book and RA related panels. And, of course, LJ will be posting top Tweets for each day.
