Lawrence Block, Mystery Scene Columnist

Just after the release of his nonfiction Step by Step: A Pedestrian Memoir, best-selling novelist and MWA Grand Master Lawrence BlockLawrence Block and Mystery Scene magazine (Hit and Run) is taking on another true-story project as a new columnist for Mystery Scene magazine, which reviews books, audiobooks, and movies related to mysteries and detective fiction.

Beginning in this year’s forthcoming Holiday Issue, Block will share a story about writers Stanley Ellin and Donald Westlake and book editor Lee Wright. Future "The Murders in Memory Lane" columns will feature stories of other well-known mystery authors and industry insiders from Block’s 50-year writing career.

While Mystery Scene is a useful read for your librarians, this new column may attract more patrons, too.
