Kate%20Fleming Documentary To Honor Late Audiobook Narrator and Her WidowPremiering on Oct. 19 in Seattle: For My Wife…, David Rothmiller’s feature documentary film about Charlene Strong, widow of celebrated audiobook narrator Kate Fleming (pictured), who read under the pseudonym of Anna Fields. The film documents Charlene’s transformation, following Kate’s 2006 death at age 41, into an equal-rights activist for same-sex couples and their families. 

I first heard about Charlene and Kate’s story from Charlene herself, at the 2008 Audie® Awards ceremony in Los Angeles, where Kate won an Audie® posthumously for her reading of Susan Elizabeth Phillips’s Natural Born Charmer (HarperAudio). Until the film comes to a theater near you (L.A. looks like the likely next stop), here’s the trailer:
