The second full-length trailer for Iron Man is now up on the web, and I hope to god this film actually has a plot because it just looks so freaking cool!
A few weeks back I said I was keeping my fingers crossed that Jonathan Rinzler’s upcoming The Complete
Making of Indiana Jones wouldn’t be “just another Crystal Skull tie-in with a tiny bit of info on the mighty Raiders, etc., thrown in for ballast.”
My fears were unfounded. I talked to Del Rey, the book’s publisher, yesterday, and they said they’d be sending me next week or so, the first ten chapters of the book, which are about the original films, but the last two on Crystal Skull are embargoed until the film’s May release.
So, now it looks like a book about the original films with a tiny bit of info on Crystal Skull thrown in for ballast
Works for me.

I agree!! The Iron Man preview is great!! The music works *so* well. Then the preview seems to end, and the part where he’s flying kicks in. It’s a little masterpiece. Almost makes me not want to see the movie because I don’t think it could be better than this!
The Indiana Jones preview, however is kind of weak. It has some adventurous parts, music works ok. But seeing Indiana fall backwards into a moving car and not have OUCH be his first words is unbelievable. The end may be trying to be cutesy, but falls very flat. The last few lines are something like “I’m a teacher” pause pause pause “..part time.” Yay adjunct teachers!! But the delivery of these lines makes them barely audible, and only funny (even thrilling) to a few.
