The Fall Book Season Begins

Back from a relaxing three days of  R&R (Reading and More Reading), and on my desk today lands a freshly printed copy of  the September 1 issue of LJ, featuring our  book review editors’ annual picks of the fall books. Yippee!

While there are plenty of newspaper and magazine articles highlighting the most notable books of the new season, I think they tend to focus on the usual suspects, the big names (the Alice Sebolds,  Philip Roths, the David Halberstams, the Ken Burns). I like to think that our list is a bit more personal and eclectic, reflecting each editor’s individual taste So read up and enjoy, but if you want to see what we look like, you’ll have to read the print issue!
